Arogyalakshmi | Hyderabad: State SC Development Minister Koppula Eshwar clarified that the Arogya Lakshmi Scheme is being implemented through Anganwadi Centers in the state. Minister Eshwar answered the questions asked by the members on the implementation of the Arogya Lakshmi Scheme during the question session in the Legislative Assembly.
Ishwar said that 93 lakhs 60 thousand 944 people are benefiting. Pregnant women 20 lakh 67 thousand 55, lactating mothers 19 lakh 26 thousand 388, children aged 7 months to 3 years 97 lakh 44 thousand 438, children 3 to 6 years 54 lakh 59 thousand 2 11, underweight children one lakh 77 thousand 852 people are getting nutrition under this scheme. From January 2015 to June 30, 2023, 16 hundred 33 crore 26 lakhs have been spent, he said.
Minister said that Arogya Lakshmi is being implemented in Telangana state. We have introduced this scheme with the aim of reducing maternal mortality. We provide iron and folic acid medicines to pregnant women and children to prevent anemia. Koppula Eshwar said that we are implementing this scheme through Anganwadis.
