TSPSC decision with High Court orders

Applicable for all examinations after December

TSPSC | Hyderabad, August 7  TSPSC has decided to apply horizontal (horizontal) reservations to government posts. The High Court has taken a decision to that effect. Till now vertical reservation is in force in the state. Earlier, the Supreme Court ruled in the case of Rajesh Kumar Dariya vs. Rajasthan Public Service Commission that parallel reservations should be applied in the filling of jobs. Recently Telangana High Court also upheld this. The High Court gave an interim order to apply parallel reservation for women in Group-I. Along with Group-1, parallel reservations were ordered to be implemented in three other cases. In the wake of the High Court's instructions, the Commission has decided to apply parallel reservation to all the examinations conducted by the TSPSC. The Commission announced that parallel reservation will be applied to all the examinations conducted by TSPSC after December. Group-1 Mains exams subject to parallel reservation will also be conducted.

What is Parallel Reservation?

After the formation of Telangana as a separate state, the government has made many changes with the intention of getting jobs for everyone who is eligible and doing justice to all. Roster point has been restarted from one to fill up the jobs. Roster Points Table If 1-100 points are taken into consideration, 33 (1/3) percent reservation for women will be implemented in the posts allotted to Open, SC, ST, BC, EWS and Disabled. In 2018, there was reorganization of districts, zones and multizone. After that reserving started from 1 again. There are special reservations for women, disabled, transgender, ex-servicemen categories in the reserved points in OC, SC, ST, BC, EWS categories in the recruitment of jobs.

Following the parallel reservations... according to the roster points, if women get more posts, they will be reserved for them. If the women in OC, SC, ST, BC, EWS, Divyang categories get job on merit in general quota, the posts specially named for women in that reserved category will be de-reserved. For example.. There are ten posts from 1 to 10 in a community. 8, 9 and 10 posts are reserved for women. The first 3 jobs were won by women according to merit. In that case.. the first 3 posts will be allotted to women and women's reservation will be de-reserved in 8, 9, 10 positions. Those 3 posts will be made general posts in the same community. Women and men can compete for them equally. If women achieve merit in 2 of the first seven posts out of ten jobs, then two of the remaining 3 posts allotted to women will be de-reserved.
